If the logistics park is a giant, the endless shuttle forklifts are his “limbs”. In the past, their operation status depended entirely on the traditional management of “people to people”, which inevitably led to blind spots. Since 2024, Zibo Economic Development Zone has carried out centralized rectification and improvement of special equipment forklifts in logistics parks such as Tianjia Logistics Park and Chuanhua Logistics Park, and a new closed-loop governance system of “elimination and renewal – mechanism innovation – service empowerment – supervision improvement” has gradually taken shape.

The first step in governance is “hardware upgrade”. Zibo Economic Development Zone decisively eliminates all forklifts below National III that do not meet environmental protection standards. For old forklifts with incomplete information but meet standards, “one-to-one” door-to-door visits are made to help business owners improve their files and complete registration and listing as soon as possible. After the elimination, some small-scale business owners with high financial pressure have made it difficult. To this end, Zibo Economic Development Zone has promoted the sharing model of “purchasing by rent”, and guided the logistics park to introduce large forklift companies such as Xuzhou Heavy Industry and BYD to settle in, providing forklift leasing and power exchange services for business owners in the logistics park.
